Any person intending to take up employment in Hong Kong, whether paid or unpaid, requires an appropriate visa. Working without a proper visa is illegal and liable to be punished with a penalty of $50,000 HKD and imprisonment of two years. If an assignee and his/her family do not have permanent residency or the right to land, they must acquire the required documents.

Since 1992, Proway has been fast tracking this process. We understand that applying for governmental documents can be troublesome and prone to delays. The benefits of having us arrange for the appropriate visas are the time and trouble saved for both the company and the assignee. It omits the long waiting lines and the tedious interviews that assignees normally would have to go through. We do advise that the assignee and all family members requiring visas to have their applications submitted together.

For a reasonable cost, the visa will be available in 4-6 weeks under normal circumstances. With our in-depth knowledge of the procedures involved, we will keep all parties up-to-date and informed of the progress and the issues that may arise.
